OTWS (OffTheWallSite) & Bait Presents “California Native: What does it mean to be a Cali Native” Art Show

This past Thursday, OTWS(OffTheWallSite), the #1 community for Vans Sneakers, in conjunction with Bait, held their “California Native: What does it mean to be a Cali Native” Art Show at the Bait store in Diamond Bar, CA. The concept was for participating artists to portray what they thought it meant to be a “Cali Native” through drawings, paintings, pictures, and other forms of art with an emphasis on Vans sneakers. My friends, DJ Guamstyles(the man in charge of running OTWS) and Lazywork were both showcasing their work so I had to come out and support. Of course I had to also support the folks at Bait. Awesome show guys!

Check out the pictures I took below. I was too lazy to take out the DSLR so hopefully these shots taken with my iphone will do the show justice.

The show was pretty packed with people checking out the art, mingling, and chopping it up.

Lazywork’s piece. The dude does some great work. Be sure to hit him up if you need some work done. I’m hoping he can do something similar for my S2000 lol

One of my favorite pieces.

Nothing says Cali Native than In & Out and palm trees.

The entire Vans Max Schaaf Syndicate collab.

Let’s go Dodgers! (yes, I know they’re down 0-2 now in the NLCS)

Another one of my favorite pieces at the event. Some of Los Angeles iconic sports figures.

Lowriders are definitely a staple of California culture. There were 3 Lowriders parked up front but unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to grab a shot of all 3 of them before they left.

If you didn’t get a chance to check out the show last Thursday, the exhibit will be up for the next couple of weeks. Be sure to stop by Bait and check it out.
