Thank You Dr. Jerry Buss

Last night before the Lakers vs. Celtics NBA game, the Lakers organization and fans paid tribute to the late Gerald Hatten “Jerry” Buss with a pre-game moment of silence while the Lakers players donned jerseys with patches that read “JB” on it. Buss, who purchased the Lakers in 1979 and helped guide them to 10 NBA Championships, passed away from kidney failure due to complications from his battle with cancer. It was fitting that the first game after his passing would be a win against the much hated Boston Celtics.

RIP Jerry Buss. As a lifetime Lakers fan, I have definitely been spoiled by your vision and pursuit of excellence. I hope that your kids can and will continue your legacy. You will be missed. Thank you.
