Too Many Hobbies
I’m one of those people who have way too many hobbies that occupy my time, takes up space in my house, and helps break my bank account. For those who know me in person or follow me through my various social media outlets, they probably already know about my sneaker hobby. Another hobby that I don’t talk about too much and is no where as insane as my sneaker collecting, is my toy collecting. Call it the kid in me(or the nerd in me) but I do collect a few toys here and there. I tend to mostly stick to stuff that comes from growing up as an 80/90s kid, toys that are associated with street art or street culture or toys that are connected to my other hobbies. Case in point, these McFarlane figures I recently picked up of Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and Derrick Rose.
Basketball is my favorite sport so it’s only natural I have a few NBA collectibles. I never really got too much into the McFarlane NBA figures but recently a friend of mine posted a picture of his “man-cave” and he had a McFarlane figure of Michael Jordan jumping from the free-throw line from the 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. I thought that was pretty cool so I picked up these for my future “man-cave”. I’m now on the hunt for Kevin Durant and some of my favorite older players, including Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, and David Robinson. And yes, even though I’m not a Jordan fan, I would love one of his free-throw line dunk.
More pictures after the jump.
Rookie Lebron face with Miami Heat Jersey (oops! lol)
Looks nothing like DRose. I think if DRose looked like this, he wouldn’t have as many girl fans as he does now lol
