Last Dance
More and more of the legends I grew up with are slowly passing away. A reminder that I, too, am growing older. No one lives forever physically, but they will always live on with the memories they leave behind for us. Thank you Donna Summer for the beautiful music you left us. Although I was born a little bit after the age of disco, your music will always remind me of growing up in my household. Songs like Last Dance, I Will Survive, and Bad Girl, were songs that my parents would always play in our cars or when they would make my siblings and I turn off the TV to clean the house. Although I may have not known it, your music and those of the other musicians my parents “forced” us to listen back then, would help me to learn to appreciate a wide variety of music. One more dance?
RIP Donna Summer (1948-2012)
